Who we are

Lead-Well exists at the intersection of leadership and mental wellbeing. We’re co-pilots in the work of building emotionally intelligent, steady, and connected leaders.

Everything we do is steeped in the belief that confident and self-aware leaders don’t just perform better; they help others do the same. Especially when the pressure’s on.

Lead-Well was born from a profoundly personal moment: a pause, a prolonged stint in a hospital bed after an extremely close call, and an unexpected exchange that changed everything.

Over a decade ago, after being hit by a car, our Founding Director, Peter, found himself hospitalised and at rock bottom – physically and emotionally. But it was the quiet presence of a stranger in the bed beside him that truly altered his path: an 80 year-old man who gave away all his jelly, but never his advice. He offered true presence and care. A simple act of human connection when it was needed most.

That encounter sparked the values that now sit at the heart of Lead-Well: presence, care, understanding, and the power of how we choose to show up for each other. Especially in tough moments.

What followed was a decade of learning, leading, and listening across a wide range of organisations, from start-ups to government and everything in between. Along the way, one sentiment kept surfacing: the quality of our leadership is shaped first by how well we know and support ourselves, and then by how we relate to and support others.

At our core is a people-first philosophy.

We believe –and not just believe, but know from our research– that leadership, workplace culture, performance, and mental wellbeing are inextricably linked.

We believe that a truly healthy culture where people thrive, where brilliant ideas flow, and where truly great work gets done, lives in the daily habits, conversations, and choices that shape how people show up and work together.

We’re values-led, purpose-obsessed, and relentlessly human in how we work: with curiosity, genuine care, and a deep commitment to making the complex simple and usable.

We’re not here to preach, or pretend we have all the answers. We’re here to ask better questions:

  • What matters to you?
  • How do you show up for yourself and others when the pressure’s on?
  • Are your people truly performing, or just pushing through?
  • What would it look like if your team had the tools to thrive, not just cope?
  • What kind of impact do you want to have?
